The Pavillion & Dirty Dogs

Today the Thew family had a fantastic meal at The Pavillion, a wonderful Chinese Restaurant in Iveston. It was to celebrate Richards 40th Birthday.

On our return we were greeted with a lovely gift from the dogs! One of the dogs, who i suspect was Bramble, had kindly deposited a wonderful muddy mess all over my cream bedding, not amused!

Puppies - my latest shoot

Our friend has just had a litter of nine beautiful Labrador puppies and I had the pleasure of photographing them, I thought I would share a few snaps of them with you. Unfortunately Peter won't allow us to have a third!

Studio Tidy Up

This month I decided to spice up the studio, Christopher came and helped me by painting the walls with a fresh coat of paint and I rehung all my images, with the help of the girls. I have even ordered a few fresh ones just to update the walls and we have had a little move around so it feels a bit bigger, Im rather happy with it.

Our Unhealthy New Year 2013

Happy New Year! The Thew girls haven't really been feeling too well this week. Holly was taken into hospital on Sunday evening with suspect appendicitis and was kept in over night. They did blood tests, ultrasounds and to this day they still don't know what the cause was. It took a lot out of her and we discovered that Holly is very squeamish and Mammy has a severe dislike for hospital armchairs! We were lucky enough to have a fab surgeon watching over her - one of my past Grooms! He went above and beyond keeping an eye on her and has stayed in contact since we got her home.
She has slept ALOT since getting home and she is gradually building up her strength. The pain has almost gone too! Jessie however came in from school yesterday limping. She was given an appointment at 8am this morning and the doctor has advised us that she has plantar fasciitis. This is a painful inflammatory process of the plantar fascia, the connective tissue on the sole (bottom surface) of the foot. It is often caused by overuse of the plantar fascia or arch tendon of the foot. She needs to rest it for a couple of weeks and it is still sore she need to visit the biomechanics at Durham. A bundle of fun us Thew women! - I hope your all having a healthier start to The New Year!!!

Christmas 2012

It has been a long long time since I last updated this blog - 2010 actually! I thought I would begin with some of the highlights of the past year! September brought the safe arrival of my gorgeous little Great Nephew, Mason. Many congratulations to Nicola & Paul.
This Summer I was nominated for two photography awards and was overjoyed to make the finals in one and shortlisted in the other! I can't wait to see what 2013 is going to bring - fingers crossed.
This year I also took on two wedding assistants who have helped me in so many ways. Firstly I will introduce Debbie
and Maddy
and I think you will all know my bag carrier, lens cleaner, battery charger, car park payer, lens changer and tripod assistant... Peter!
CHRISTMAS 2012 This Christmas I managed to spend a lot of time with the girls and Peter after the December madness of the studio settled down. I was able to closed the studio on the 21st when the schools closed until the New Year. Holly has developed a talent for making chocolate truffles and lemon cakes
We even got to have a leaf fight!
Christmas Eve - The Night Before Christmas read by Daddy
