Contact Lenses

Holly has now got contact lenses and is managing great. She got them last week and has been able to get them in and out all by herself! Well done Holly

Ice creams

Living out in the country we don't get an ice cream van, so when visiting Nana we make the most if it!

Wedding Award!

I am delighted to announce I have just won TWO wedding awards! One for Best Photographer and the other for Best Studio, I also got best in the North East for both categories. I also ranked 32nd for Best Photographer in the UK and 6th for Best Studio, Im overwhelmed! I couldn't have achieved this if it wasn't for my fab team, Peter, Debbie and Maddy - thank you guys. Also, a big thank you to my Mam and Dad for all the babysitting xx

Holly's First Photo Shoot - aged 11

I went to photograph Julia today and the girls decided to come along. I was delighted to see Holly pick up the camera (without the eye rolling). I was delighted with her images, I added them onto Facebook and the reviews have been fantastic, Im so proud, lets hope I now have a mini apprentice in the making!I have added below one of my images, the rest are Holly's x ! Mam's 70th Birthday

Easter Pups

Ken, nextdoor at the farm has puppies and he asked if the girls wanted to go and see them, they wasted no time and the wellies were on! I managed to get a few shots of them with a couple of lambs, very cute!

Holly's First Concert

Last night Holly went with Peter to the arena in Newcastle. They went to see Biffy Clyro and had a great time. I do however have a very tired and grumpy daughter this morning!

Windmills

Today they erected the last windmill above Newlands, they worked late on and it was flood light. I managed to get a nice shot from our back door

Snow in March (again)

It is now 21.59 and its still snowing, two inches so far! When will Spring be here?

Tudor Day

Holly went to school dressed in an outfit from the Tudor period, very grand! She had to take a packed lunch of a piece of bread, lump of cheese and a piece of fruit.

Easter Update

Unfortunately I won't be able to host our annual Easter get together this year. I always love Easter when we hatch the chicks and have the egg hunt but due to the volume of weddings and the Easter Chick shoot in the studio I just can't do it! Im not even hatching my own chicks this year, sorry guys!

Parents Evening

Over the past few weeks we have attended both of the girls parents evenings. I'm very proud to say that they are perfect in every way (they must take after their Mammy)
All teachers only had great things to say and they are both top in every subject, I couldn't be prouder of them.
We even went to the Black Bull in Corbridge to celebrate, fantastic food and i would highly recommend a visit.

Shuffling Around

As most of my family know I have moments of madness when I think it's a good idea to move furniture, well today was one of those days!
I moved the TV from one side of the fire to the other, Peter has no idea so I hope he likes it!

New telescope

Our posh new telescope has finally arrived, I'm unsure how it works but Peter seems to like it! I'm sure Professor Brian Cox would be proud, we just need some clear nights.

Doris Day

After a year of trying I eventually managed to get my Mam and the girls a signed photo of Doris Day! It has taken alot of emailing but I got there in the end!

Windmills

Two of the three windmills are now constructed at the back of our house. I don't mind them really, can hardly see them from the house.

Painting

Annette Mcguigan liked a photo I took at Beamish many moons ago of Peter and the girls, she asked if she could paint it.... I am so glad I agreed! Hope you like it x

So the Pope is to resign! Im not religious at all but I think it's a good thing if he is not fit and able to do the job and I think the next guy should be at least 20 years younger!!!

Holly and her new glasses

After two long trips to the Metro Centre Holly can now see! She is now slightly long sighted and takes after her Mammy (poor thing), but at least she can see! I think she looks gorgeous in her glasses x

Poorly Eye

Went to the doctors with my sore eye to find that I have an eye infection. The doctor added a few drops into the eye so they could have a good look inside, unfortunately this stuff stains! Before leaving I asked if I had any on my face and she said, no I looked fine !

I then left the surgery and sat in the very busy and overcrowded pharmacy to collect my perscription. When I got back into the car I saw my reflection! I don't think I got it all.... Do you?

Sylvanians

Jessie has decided to bring her HUGE collection downstairs and taken over our conservatory. I don't mind as I get to have a play too!

Birthdays & Anniversary

Next week Peter turns 37 eeeeek! It is also our 12th wedding anniversary and I can safely say we are just as happy now as we were back then! I have attached a few old photos of our wedding day ( no giggling).
